Being recognized as by the title of “Blue Fly” the highest award given to a dancer ever, Mariam had fulfilled her childhood dream of being a dancer. It’s the story of a young girl who she had always believe in the power of 3 D’s in her life: – Determination, Dedication and Devotion. Using the power of 3D’S she make one thing DANCE.
The day she landed India it was not other day but Diwali – Day full of lights in everyone’s life and when she reached her village the parents were dancing with joy the dance of happiness. Later that day, her parents shared their passion for dance and how they had decided to help her in fulfilling her dream. Actually, it was her parent’s dream which was fulfilled by Mariam. Really! it was Diwali that brings lights in her family and it remains forever in their lives !
Belonging to poor family, she or no one had ever thought of that she can win this title. She was the youngest child of a farmer. Since beginning of her childhood, she use to run on the trees with her toes and start dancing randomly at times she had fallen from the trunk of trees, but next moment she was again rehearsing and rehearsing.
Always helpful to her mother in sowing the paddy and in fact she used to love it and in fact in wet land she use to sow as if its wet stage and she has to dance on it.
Somewhere her mother and father had seen her rehearsing on wet land and they were happy to see the daughter’s passion towards dancing. From that day onwards, they start teaching her the art as how she should learn the art of balancing by walking on the thin trunk of a tree. At times, she had hurt her feet and her parents use to apply oil on her feet.
Somewhere, they were also sure about her dream that it will come true.
Being parents, they always want to give the best to their children somehow they start believing by supporting and helping her she can follow her dream and she need not to work on the paddy fields anymore.
There is a saying, “Where there is a will, there is a way”. It was the right time when she came to know about the Dance audition happening on the small level and junior dancers were required for the lead dancer. Her eyes flashed as if the journey towards her dream was about to started.
Taking the blessings from her parents she started from home but what she didn’t know was actually it was the path what she was looking for!
Finally, she had managed to reach the place and to her utter surprise there was proper procedure as firstly, they will really identify by going through various tests.
The next day, there was total of 40 candidates and all were told to dance on the toe for 10 minutes, followed dance on wet land for 20 minutes and then running and dancing on the trunk of trees with ease.
Hearing this all candidates were little upset, but Mariam was all set to proceed further and she did dance on toe, wet land and balanced herself on the trees. Which was very stunning performance as she was the only candidate to pass all tests.
Later she came to know that actually she is the lead dancer as there is no requirement of junior dancers as the news was little confusing. Later, she came to know that the performance is actually on the global level, where she has to compete with other dancers coming from different nations. Hearing this, her eyes were filled with tears of happiness and pain of struggle. It was actually that one opportunity to what she was looking or waiting for so long.
After a week , she on the stage of Performance where she outshined herself and also won the title of “Blue fly”. It is the beautiful beginning of her new journey.
